The Immeuble Molitor, located at twenty-four rue Nungesser-et-Coli, is the first apartment building in history with fully glass facades. Built between nineteen thirty-one and nineteen thirty-four by the architect Le Corbusier and his cousin Pierre Jeanneret, the structure straddles the border between Boulogne-Billancourt and the sixteenth arrondissement of Paris. Its design challenged traditional urban housing by utilizing a support system of columns that allowed for interior walls to be placed freely, independent of the building’s weight.
