Auteuil Cemetery

The Auteuil Cemetery, located at number fifty-seven Rue Claude-Lorrain, is one of the smallest burial grounds in Paris. It spans less than one hectare and was established in eighteen hundred, replacing an older site that had served the village of Auteuil since the eleventh century. When the village was absorbed into the city of Paris in eighteen sixty, the cemetery became part of the sixteenth arrondissement.
