Petite Ceinture du 15e (PC 15)

The Petite Ceinture du 15e is a stretch of abandoned railway tracks that cuts through the southern edge of the fifteenth arrondissement, defined by rusted iron rails and wild vegetation that has reclaimed the path. Originally part of the Chemin de fer de Petite Ceinture, a circular railway loop finished in eighteen sixty-seven to connect Paris’s main train stations and move freight around the city, the line fell into obsolescence following the rise of the Métro and the automobile.
