Pan de mur de Berlin

A lone segment of the Berlin Wall stands on the Esplanade du Neuf-Novembre-1989 near the Parc des Expositions at the Porte de Versailles. This concrete slab, weathered and marked by history, was presented to the city of Paris by the city of Berlin. It was officially inaugurated on June twenty-nine, two thousand nine, by the mayors of the two capitals, Bertrand Delanoë and Klaus Wowereit, to commemorate the enduring ties between their cities.
