Le Bal Blomet

Le Bal Blomet is a jazz club and cabaret recognizable by its intimate, cellar-like interior, marked by exposed brick and a history that stretches back to nineteen twenty-four. It began in an eighteen-hundreds farmhouse that Jean Rézard de Wouves, a West Indian political candidate, repurposed as his campaign headquarters. Finding that his speeches drew thin crowds, he pivoted to playing Caribbean music on the piano to keep his audience occupied.
