Place Alfred Dreyfus

The Place Alfred-Dreyfus is a public square in the fifteenth arrondissement, tucked between the Avenue Émile-Zola and the Rue du Théâtre. It is marked by a commemorative stele dedicated to the writer Émile Zola, which features the famous words he once wrote: Truth is on the march, and nothing can stop it. The square was officially named on July fifth, two thousand, to honor the memory of Alfred Dreyfus, an artillery officer whose life became the focal point of a major political crisis during the French Third Republic.
