The Tower Flower is a ten-story apartment block in the seventeenth arrondissement that appears as a vertical grove of bamboo. Three hundred and eighty white concrete pots are bolted directly to the balcony edges on three sides of the building, creating a dense, rustling screen that hides the concrete structure behind it. Completed in two thousand four by architect Édouard François, the building was an early experiment in integrating living greenery directly into the facade of social housing.
