Musée Cernuschi

The Musée Cernuschi sits near the edge of Parc Monceau, housed in a private mansion built for the Italian banker and patriot Henri Cernuschi. You can identify the building by its location on avenue Vélasquez, where it stands as a testament to the collector’s life and his vast accumulation of Asian art. Opened in eighteen ninety-eight, the museum displays thousands of works, including ancient bronzes, ceramics, and jade, which Cernuschi gathered during a three-year world tour in the eighteen seventies.
