Place Falguière is a circular junction in the fifteenth arrondissement, where several streets like Rue Falguière and Rue de la Procession meet. It takes its name from Jean-Alexandre Falguière, a prominent nineteenth-century sculptor and painter whose work, such as the statue of Joan of Arc, remains a familiar sight in the city. Before the square received its current name in nineteen oh four, it was known as the Rond-point des Fourneaux.
