The Tour du Coin stood near the banks of the Seine as one of the defensive anchors for the city of Paris. Constructed between eleven ninety and twelve oh nine, this tower was a central part of the wall built under King Philippe Auguste. It reached twenty-five meters in height and spanned ten meters in diameter, featuring a smaller cylindrical turret on its exterior that housed a staircase.
