The Hôtel de Sully is a seventeenth-century mansion distinguished by its symmetry, featuring a main courtyard and a garden that connect the Rue Saint-Antoine to the nearby Place des Vosges. Built beginning in sixteen twenty-five for the financier Mesme Galet, the structure is a notable example of the Louis the Thirteenth style. It later became the residence of Maximilien de Béthune, the Duke of Sully and a prominent minister under King Henry the Fourth.
