Hôpital Armand-Trousseau

The Hôpital Armand-Trousseau occupies a sprawling site in the twelfth arrondissement, identifiable by its traditional pavilion-style architecture. This layout was designed at the turn of the twentieth century to allow for the isolation of children suffering from infectious diseases like diphtheria, measles, and scarlet fever. Opened in nineteen oh one under the direction of architects Maistrasse and Berger, the facility replaced an older hospital located on the rue du Faubourg-Saint-Antoine.
