The Petite Ceinture du douzième is a stretch of abandoned, repurposed railway track that once formed part of a thirty-two-kilometer loop encircling Paris. You can identify this site by the sight of old industrial rails now flanked by wild vegetation, community gardens, and nature trails that contrast with the surrounding urban landscape. Opened in eighteen fifty-two, this "Little Belt" was originally constructed to connect the capital’s major train stations and facilitate the transport of both goods and passengers.
