Regent Carlton Cannes

The Carlton Cannes is identifiable by its massive, neoclassical façade and two prominent domes on its seaward corners. Opened in nineteen eleven, the hotel was financed with the support of Grand Duke Michael Mikhailovich of Russia and designed by architects Charles Dalmas and Marcellin Mayère. Its silhouette along the Croisette boulevard became a defining image of the city shortly after the construction of an additional wing in nineteen thirteen.
