The Hotel Barrière Le Majestic Cannes is defined by its long, white Art Deco facade stretching along the Boulevard de la Croisette. Designed by the architect Théo Petit and opened in nineteen twenty-six, the hotel replaced the earlier Beau-Rivage hotel and two nearby villas. It sits directly across from the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, the venue for the Cannes Film Festival.
