Preysingstraße is a narrow, cobblestone street in the Haidhausen district that retains the atmosphere of an eighteenth-century village rather than a modern city. The street is distinguished by its collection of historic boarding houses, known as Herbergshäuschen, which once served as temporary lodgings for day laborers who commuted to Munich for work.
