The Ghanshyam Temple, also known as the Gangshyam Ji Mandir, is distinguished by its use of Makrana marble and sandstone from the Chittor region. Located in the Sodagaran Mohalla of Jodhpur’s old city, the structure dates to seventeen sixty-one, built during the reign of Maharaja Vijay Singh of the Rathore dynasty. The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna in the form of Ghanshyam Ji, a name signifying the deity's dark, rain-cloud-like complexion.
