Sardar Market Girdikot

Sardar Market is defined by the Ghanta Ghar, a thirty-meter-tall clock tower that rises above the city center. Built between eighteen eighty and nineteen eleven by Maharaja Sardar Singh, this sandstone monument serves as the central landmark for the surrounding labyrinth of narrow alleys. The tower features a clock imported from England, and its five-tiered structure displays ornate stone carvings, jharokhas, and a crowning dome that stands out against the skyline of the old city.
