Padamsar Talab

Padamsar Talab, often called Padamsagar, is a fifteenth-century rainwater lake located behind the Mehrangarh Fort. It forms a pair of historic reservoirs alongside the neighboring Ranisar Lake, both commissioned by royal women to secure a reliable water supply in this arid desert region. The lake is marked by stone ghats along its edges, which reflect the towering silhouette of the fort above the water’s surface.
