Amba Pol Gate

The Amba Pol Gate stands as one of the historic entrances in the defensive wall once built to secure Udaipur. This wall, known as the Shaharkot or city fortification, was reinforced over time to protect the capital of the Mewar dynasty. By the late seventeenth century, as Udaipur faced external threats, additional defenses were constructed outside the city’s primary gates.
