Mor Chowk, or the Peacock Courtyard, is an inner courtyard within the City Palace of Udaipur defined by three life-sized peacocks crafted in high-relief glass mosaic. These figures occupy niches in the walls and are assembled from five thousand individual pieces of colored glass in shades of sapphire, emerald, and gold. Each peacock represents a specific season of Mewar—summer, winter, and the life-giving monsoon—with the central figure dedicated to the rains.
