Zenana Mahal

The Zenana Mahal is distinguished by its vast open-air courtyard known as Lakshmi Chowk, which serves as the heart of this historic women's palace. Built primarily between sixteen twenty and sixteen twenty-eight under Maharana Karan Singh, the structure was designed to provide private, secure quarters for the royal ladies of the Mewar dynasty. Its architecture reflects the period's development, featuring a ground floor constructed in the traditional Mewar style, while upper levels incorporate later Mughal and British design elements.
