Badi Pol

Badi Pol, or the Great Gate, serves as the main entrance to the City Palace complex in Udaipur. It is easily identified by its towering balconies and cupolas, which rise above the street level to mark the formal threshold of the royal residence. The gate dates back to the early seventeenth century and was designed to provide a secure, grand arrival point for those entering the palace grounds from the city.
