Manak Chowk is the sprawling main courtyard at the heart of the City Palace complex in Udaipur. It is defined by its wide, open-air design, which served as the primary gathering ground where the Maharanas of Mewar held formal court, greeted their subjects, and hosted large-scale royal festivities. A prominent sun-face emblem, the religious insignia of the Sisodia dynasty, is displayed on its facade, marking the site as a seat of power.
