The Third Ear, known locally as HaOzen HaShlishit, occupies a structure built in nineteen fifty-six that once operated as the Maxim Cinema. Its multi-level interior has functioned as a central hub for music collectors and culture seekers since nineteen eighty-seven, when the shop first opened on Sheinkin Street. By the time it moved into this former movie house in two thousand and five, it had become a fixture in the city, eventually adding a performance venue that hosts live music, poetry, and film events.
