The Shalom Meir Tower is identified by its cream-colored tile facade and its height, which rises above the surrounding streets in the center of the city. Completed in nineteen sixty-five, the thirty-four-story building was the first skyscraper in Israel and, for many years, the tallest structure in the Middle East.
