Korokan Ruins Museum

The Korokan Ruins Museum protects the remains of an ancient state-run guest house, a site identifiable by its location within Maizuru Park near the Fukuoka Castle ruins. This facility, which operated from the late seventh century until the eleventh century, served as the primary gateway for diplomatic envoys and merchants arriving from China and the Korean Peninsula.
