Juke Records stood in the Tenjin district for forty-five years, long recognized as a local institution for music lovers. Founded by Yasushi Matsumoto in nineteen seventy-seven, the shop became known as a musical library, distinguished by its deep archives of blues and rock. Inside, visitors once found a distinctive space furnished with a red sofa and a vintage Coca-Cola icebox, where Matsumoto curated a selection of records that went far beyond typical chart-toppers.
