The Hakata Port Tower stands out as a red-and-white steel lattice structure rising one hundred and three meters above the waterfront of Hakata Bay. Designed by the architect Tachu Naito and completed in nineteen sixty-four, it serves as the sixth in his series of structures known as the Six Tower Brothers. This group includes other notable projects like the Tokyo Tower and the second Tsutenkaku Tower in Osaka.
