Fukuoka nakasu Food Stalls Street

The Nakasu food stalls are distinguished by their clusters of glowing lanterns and neon lights reflected on the surface of the Naka River. These stalls, or yatai, are small, semi-portable wooden structures that line the riverbank, typically seating around eight to ten people shoulder to shoulder along a counter. They serve as open-air kitchens where owners prepare Hakata ramen, oden, and grilled skewers in a space compact enough that every movement by the chef is visible to the customer.
