The Hokkaido University Museum

The Hokkaido University Museum stands out as a three-story, Gothic Revival-style structure finished in classic scratch-tile. Completed in nineteen twenty-nine, this building was originally the university’s Science Building and remains the campus’s first major reinforced concrete construction. Its exterior is a distinct feature on the grounds, preserving the atmosphere of the early twentieth century even as the interior has been repurposed for public exhibits.
