Seikatei

Seikatei is a small, single-story wooden building easily identified by the five-pointed stars engraved into the gable of its roof. Built in eighteen eighty by the Hokkaido Development Commission, it served as a social gathering center for noble guests visiting the frontier. The structure displays a distinct blend of architectural traditions, appearing Western on the outside while maintaining a mix of Japanese and Western-style rooms within.
