Ōno Pond

Ōno Pond is a small, quiet body of water nestled within the grounds of the Hokkaido University campus in Sapporo. You can identify it by the lush, leafy canopy that hangs low over its surface and the wooden pathways that provide a vantage point for watching the local ducks and waterfowl that frequent the area. Unlike the famous blue pond in Biei, which formed from volcanic engineering projects, this pond has long been a fixture of the university’s natural landscape.
