Sakuramon Gate

Sakuramon Gate serves as the grand southern entrance to the inner bailey of Osaka Castle, the Honmaru. Built in the traditional Koraimon style, this gate features heavy iron doors and is flanked by massive stone slabs known as the Dragon Stone and the Tiger Stone. These stones are named for their unique surface patterns, which reportedly emerge or become more pronounced when dampened by rain.
