Hammam Ben Aazzouz is a traditional public bathhouse in the heart of the medina of Chefchaouen. Its most distinct feature is an old wood-fired oven, which has provided heat for the facility since nineteen forty-seven. Unlike modern spas, the interior is stripped of ornamentation, consisting of simple rooms with sloped floors and taps for drawing hot water into plastic buckets.
