Reestraat

Reestraat is one of the three parallel lanes that compose the Negen Straatjes, or the Nine Streets, in the heart of Amsterdam's canal belt. You can distinguish it by the narrow, multi-story brick buildings that line the cobbled pavement, many of which date back to the eighteenth century. This area was originally part of a massive urban expansion project launched in sixteen twelve, designed to transition the city from a swampy trading post into a structured grid of waterways.
