The Pracz Odrzański, or Oder Washer, is a small bronze statue of a gnome crouched at the water's edge near the Piaskowy Bridge. Installed on August third, two thousand five, it is one of the original five gnome sculptures created by artist Tomasz Moczek to commemorate the Orange Alternative, an underground protest movement that used absurd humor to challenge the communist regime in the nineteen eighties.
