Orthodox Cathedral of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God

The Orthodox Cathedral of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God is defined by its dark, red-brick Gothic structure, which stands out among the surrounding buildings on Saint Mikołaja Street. Originally built in the fifteen century as a wooden cemetery chapel, the site was eventually replaced by the brick Gothic church of Saint Barbara. The building has undergone numerous changes in ownership and function, having served as an Evangelical church and a military garrison chapel for nearly two centuries, between seventeen forty-one and nineteen twenty.
