The Şehzade Cami is defined by its perfect symmetry, featuring a massive central dome flanked by four equal half-domes and two slender, twin-balconied minarets. Completed in fifteen forty-eight, this imperial mosque was commissioned by Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent to honor his eldest son, Prince Mehmed, who died at the age of twenty-two.
