One hundred and ten The Queen’s Walk is defined by a distinct, rounded, glass-and-steel form that leans over the south bank of the River Thames. Designed by architect Norman Foster and completed in two thousand two, this structure served as the headquarters for the Greater London Authority for nearly two decades. Because of its unusual, bulbous geometry, the building drew immediate public commentary, famously earning the nickname “the glass gonad” from former Mayor Boris Johnson.
