Tower Hill is a raised area of land located just north-west of the Tower of London, distinguished by the open expanse of Trinity Square Gardens. This site served for centuries as a public stage for the execution of high-status prisoners who were held within the nearby fortress. While the private confines of Tower Green were reserved for a select few with royal or noble blood, the scaffold erected here on the hill was where a large, public audience gathered to witness the final moments of those deemed traitors or enemies of the state.
