Wapping Old Stairs are a set of weathered stone steps that drop from Wapping High Street directly onto the tidal foreshore of the River Thames. They are one of the last remaining examples of the public watermen’s stairs that once lined the river, serving as a primary link between the land and the water for centuries. You can identify the path to these stairs by the narrow alleyway running alongside the Town of Ramsgate pub.
