Mitre Square is a small, cobbled quadrangle in the City of London that sits on the former site of the cloisters of the Holy Trinity Priory. Founded in eleven hundred and eight, the priory was demolished under Henry the Eighth during the Dissolution of the Monasteries. Today, the square is connected to the surrounding streets by three narrow passages: Church Passage, Mitre Street, and St James’s Place.
