The Lummus Park Historic District is a rare pocket of quiet streets and early twentieth-century architecture situated just west of downtown Miami. You can identify the district by its collection of low-rise Mediterranean Revival and vernacular homes, which contrast with the modern high-rise buildings and the busy presence of Interstate ninety-five nearby. Established after the creation of the city’s first public park in nineteen oh nine, this neighborhood served as a residential anchor during Miami’s initial expansion.
