Old United States Post Office and Courthouse

The Old United States Post Office and Courthouse at one hundred Northeast First Avenue is identified by its neoclassical design paired with a distinct Spanish tile roof and wide, overhanging eaves. Built between nineteen twelve and nineteen fourteen, this three-story structure was the first major federal facility constructed in Miami. It provided a centralized hub for government operations, housing the post office, federal courtrooms, and the local Weather Bureau office under one roof.
