Fulton Cotton Mill Loft Apartments

The Fulton Cotton Mill Lofts are distinguished by their sprawling, red-brick industrial facades and massive windows, which stretch across a landscape that was once the largest textile operation in the city. Founded in eighteen eighty-one by Jacob Elsas, the site served as an economic engine for the surrounding worker community known as Cabbagetown. Elsas, a German Jewish immigrant, built the mill on land that formerly hosted the Atlanta Rolling Mill, which was destroyed during the Civil War.
