Murphy's Bar & Grill

Murphy’s Bar and Grill occupies a red brick building on the corner of Merchant Street and Nuuanu Avenue, distinguished by its white stucco pilasters and a corner entrance that is canted toward the intersection. This structure, dating back to eighteen ninety, was built by W. C. Peacock, a bar owner who also constructed the Moana Hotel. The site itself has hosted drinking establishments since the eighteen sixties, when it operated as the Royal Hotel.
