Sunflower Castle

The Sunflower Castle at one hundred thirty Mount Vernon Street is unmistakable among the red-brick row houses of Beacon Hill. Its first floor features bright yellow stucco, while the second floor and roof are covered in red, fish-scale shingles. Black half-timbering defines the peaks and window frames, and a large wooden carving of a sunflower hangs under the eaves above the front door.
