Park Street Church

The most distinct feature of Park Street Church is its two hundred seventeen foot white steeple, which rises high enough to remain visible from multiple neighborhoods in Boston. When the building was completed in eighteen ten, that spire made it the tallest structure in the United States, a title it held for eighteen years. It sits on the corner of Park and Tremont Streets, directly adjacent to the Granary Burying Ground, occupying land that once held the town’s grain storage building.
