Commonwealth is a two-story cocktail bar and nightclub situated at five twenty-five East Fremont Street, easily identified by the open-air rooftop dance floor that overlooks the neon lights of the Fremont East District. Opened in two thousand twelve, the venue spans six thousand square feet and was designed with an aesthetic inspired by pre-Prohibition era bars, featuring exposed brick, dark wood, and vintage fixtures. It was established as a foundational site in the city-supported effort to build a nightlife corridor separate from the Las Vegas Strip.
